Dental IMPLANTS
What exactly is a dental implant? Simply put, it’s a man-made root used to replace one or more missing teeth. An implant can be used to replace one tooth or it can be used to replace several teeth in a row.

What Are Dental Implants?
The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jaw where teeth are missing. These anchors act as tooth root substitutes. The bone bonds with these anchors, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.
Surgical Advances
Using the most recent advances in dental implant technology, our doctors are are able to place single stage implants. These implants do not require a second procedure to uncover them, but do require a minimum of six weeks of healing time before the artificial tooth is placed. There are even situations where the implants can be placed at the same time as a tooth extraction – further minimizing the number of procedures.
